SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) men's water polo team lost to visiting Golden West College 23-7 in an Orange Empire Conference match. The loss drops the Dons to 2-15 overall and 0-4 in conference play.
Daniel Nagy and Brian Shield had a pair of goals each as the Dons fell behind 13-4 at half time. Golden West (10-4, 3-0) outscored the Dons 4-1 in the third and 6-2 in the fourth on its way to the 23-7 victory.
Nagy finished the game with a team-high four goals followed by Shield with two and Kyle Jacqmin with one goal. Erick Lopez made six saves in goal while allowing the 23 goals. |
