Ryan Gleason Sets SAC Record in Hammer Throw
CERRITOS, CA - Ryan Gleason broke his own record of 169' 4" with a throw of 174' 3" to take first place in the Cerritos Invitational. Gleason now holds the top three distances in Santa Ana College history.
Luis Guzman took second place behind Gleason with a personal best throw of 165' 1". Paul Van Santa was the third Don to finish in the top 10 of the hammer throw in ninth place with a distance of 148'.
Gleason also took eighth place in the discus throw followed by teammate Miles Davy who took ninth place. Guzman also had another top 10 finish as he took ninth place in the shot put.
On the track, Sam Juliano was the top finisher for the Dons taking 18th place in the 5,000M run. Thomas McDaniel took 20th place in the 110M hurdles while Lenny Santana took 23rd and Saul Lopez took 25th in the 1,500M run.
The Dons return to action on Friday, February 27 when they host Riverside College and Santiago Canyon College at 2:00 p.m. |
