Dons Tie Golden West 65-65 in Dual Meet at SAC
SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) men's track & field team tied visiting Golden West College 65-65 in an Orange Empire Conference meet. Santiago Canyon College finished third in the meet with 24 points.
The Dons were led on the track by Joshua Brown (El Modena HS) who took the top spot in the 100M (10.97) and the 200M (22.92). SAC took a clean sweep in the 100M with Brown finishing first, Mike Davis (Tustin HS) second and Jason McCalope (Santa Ana HS) third.
Edgar Aguilar (Santa Ana HS) and Irvin Malacara (Anaheim HS) finished first and second in the 800M and Malacara took first in the 1,500M. Jersain Torres (Katella HS), Corey Brown (Loara HS) and Alfonso Leon (Santa Ana HS) finished 1-2-3 in the 3,000M. Ryan Gleason left his mark on the field as he took first place in the shot put, discus and hammer throw.
