Dons Open Track and Field Season At OEC Relays
SANTA ANA, CA - The 2006 men's track and field season opened up at the Orange Empire Conference (OEC) relays at Orange Coast College on April 10, 2006.
Santa Ana College was represented by a few impressive victories. In field athletics the Dons received a second place finish in the hammer throw by Eric Bustos who's long throw reached 142' 4”.
Also in field athletics Jonathon Coontz finished third in the discus throw with a distance of 130' 4” and Bryan Garcia also had a third place finish in the tripe jump, jumping 43' 10 ½”.
The Dons SAC continued with a third place trend on the track with the distance medley team and the 1600M relay team both finishing third. The medley team was led by Cody Holton in the 1200M (3:25) followed by Nick Falcioni in the 400M (53.1); Luis Borroel in the 800M (2:09.5); and Gabe Monjaras in the 1600M (4:41.1).
