SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) men's soccer team defeated visiting Riverside College 4-2 in an Orange Empire Conference match. The win improves the Dons to 3-3-3 overall and 1-0-1 in conference while Riverside dropped to 6-2-1 overall and 1-1-0 in conference.
Daniel Ruiz sent a cross through the box to set up Marco Ramirez who beat the Tigers keeper to put the Dons up 1-0 in the first minute of the game. Jimmy Martinez answered with two goals to put Riverside up 2-1. The goals came in the 17th and 35th minutes respectively.
Adrian Negrete beat the Tigers keeper one-on-one in the 42nd minute to tie the game right before the half and Ivan Moreno took a through ball from Armando Rocha in the 63rd minute for the game-winner.
Luis Santamaria buried a rebound off a Julian Cardenas shot in the final minute of the game for the Dons fourth goal. Felipe Miranda started the game for the Dons allowing both goals while making two saves. Adrian Garcia played the second half in goal without facing a shot.
