SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) men's soccer team opened Orange Empire Conference play with a 0-0 tie against visiting Cypress College.
The Dons are 2-3-3 overall on the season following the tie and 0-0-1 in conference while Cypress now holds a 4-2-2 overall record with a 0-0-1 mark in conference.
Felipe Miranda kept the Dons in the game as he was forced to make just one save in 90 minutes while his counterpart was busy throughout the game making 10 saves.
Today's game was the first for the Dons in their quest to successfully defend their 15-consecutive conference championships.
