SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) men's soccer team came from behind to tie San Diego Mesa College 2-2 in a non-conference match. The Dons move to 1-1-2 on the season while Mesa move to 2-3-1.
Jason Kern gave Mesa an early 1-0 lead when he beat the Dons defense down field for the goal. Cesar Silva scored the equalizer for the Dons in the 34th minute on a pass from Raul Magallon. Mesa's keeper charged Silva who lofted a shot over his head.
After the two team's took a 1-1 tie into half time, Kern scored his second goal of the game, again beating the Dons defense that was looking for an offside's call.
Marco Ramirez helped keep the Dons from their second loss of the season as he scored in the 86th minute to tie the game at 2-2.
