After two scoreless periods, the teams headed into the two 15 minute overtime periods. The Dons scored their first goal in the 97th minute when Alex Moreno's shot bounced off the SDCC keeper and Juan Carlos Agripino buried the ball into the back of the net.
The Dons put the game away with their second goal in the second overtime period when Miguel Cucue passed to a streaking Ramses Munoz who beat the keeper to put SAC up 2-0.
Julian Hernandez made six saves in the game to earn the shut out victory and help advance the Dons. SAC will play Cerritos in a rematch of last year's second round game when the eventual state champion Cerritos team defeated the Dons 1-0 at Santa Ana.
