Santa Ana Plays to Tough Tie with Oxnard College

SANTA ANA , CA – Santa Ana College 's (SAC) men's soccer team tied visiting Oxnard College (OC) Friday in a non-conference soccer match. The 1-1 tie moves SAC to 2-1-1 on the season while OC now has a 2-0-1 record.

The Dons scored first when Alex Moreno (Saddleback HS) passed to a trailing Rafael Garza (Anaheim HS) who was able to score and put SAC up 1-0 in the 20th minute.

OC's goal came off an own goal by the Dons who sent the ball into the goal while attempting to clear the ball out of the zone.

SAC out shot OC 10-4 but was unable to capitalize on the opportunities. Edmundo Ramirez (Valley HS) didn't face a single shot in the entire first half and Manuel Tejeda (Saddleback HS) made two saves and allowed the only goal in the second half.
