Santa Ana Rolls over Orange Coast 6-0

SANTA ANA , CA – Cesar Nava scored three goals and Mario Muratalla (Santa Ana HS) added another two as the Santa Ana College men's soccer team defeated Orange Coast College 6-0 at Santa Ana.

Orange Coast was the last team the Dons were unable to defeat in the last 12 games when the Pirates battled SAC to a 1-1 tie at Orange Coast . Nava opened the scoring in the 35 th minute off of a free kick to put the Dons up 1-0.

Muratalla added the next goal 10 minutes later when he darted past the defenders and shot past the goalkeeper. The two traded goals to extend the Dons' lead to 5-0 when Ignacio Cruz scored the final goal in the 89 th minute when he was able to put in a rebound off of OCC's keeper.

The victory brings SAC closer to the Orange Empire Conference championship. No matter the result of Irvine Valley 's game today, if the Dons defeat the Lasers they will win their 12 th straight conference championship. However, if the Lasers lost today, the Dons have already clinched the title.
