SANTA ANA , CA – Santa Ana College 's men's soccer team opened its season Wednesday, August 30 at home against San Diego Mesa with an impressive 3-1 victory. The match was the first for the Dons who didn't even have a pre-season scrimmage, it was the second game of the season for Mesa (1-1).

Ricardo Juarez opened the scoring in the 12th minute with an unassisted goal on a rebound off of the post to give the Dons an early 1-0 lead. The Olympians matched the score later in the first half with a score by Kasra Sarabahsh on an assist from Hector Arteaga.

The Dons pulled away in the second half as they controlled the pace of play and spent most of the half on offense.
