Santa Ana's Reynaga Inks With Cal State LA
SANTA ANA, CA - Santa Ana College guard Robert Reynaga (St. John Bosco H.S.) signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at California State University , Los Angeles and interim head coach Stephen Thompson next season. The 5-10 sophomore helped lead Santa Ana to a 12 -14 overall record and a third place finish in the OEC with an 8-6 mark. The Dons made their first post-season appearance in four years but lost in the first round of the Southern California Regional Men's Basketball Playoffs, 68-60, to conference-foe Riverside Community College.

Reynaga, who started in 16 of the Dons' 26 games, finished fifth on the team in scoring with155 points averaging 6.0 points per game. He grabbed 45 rebounds (1.7 avg.) from his guard position and finished the season with 37 assists and 24 steals. Reynaga connected on 33 percent of his three-point field goals (39 of 117) and 70.4 percent of his free throws (24 of 34).
The former St. John Bosco High School-product scored a season-high 17 points against Cuyamaca College and connected on five three-pointers against Cerritos College.
