Santa Ana's Pajevic Signs With Weber State

SANTA ANA, CA -
Santa Ana College forward Nedim Pajevic (Newport Harbor H.S.) signed a national letter of intent to play basketball at Weber State University ( Ogden, Utah ) and head coach Joe Cravens. The 6-9 sophomore from Newport Harbor High School was a two-time, second team all-Orange Empire Conference selection while playing for the Dons and head coach David Breig.

This past season Pajevic led Santa Ana to a 12 -14 overall record and a third place finish in the OEC with an 8-6 mark. The Dons made their first post-season appearance in four years but lost in the first round of the Southern California Regional Men's Basketball Tournament, 68-60, to conference-foe Riverside Community College . Pajevic, who played in 25 of the Dons' 26 games with 23 starts, scored 232 points averaging 9.3 points and 4.8 rebounds per game this past season. He shot a team-best 51.1 percent from the field (92 of 180) and 80 percent from the free throw line (44 of 55).

As a freshman, Pajevic led the Dons in scoring with 279 points averaging 10.3 points per outing. He was also the team's best free throw shooter connecting on 74.7 percent of his attempts (59 of 79) and was third on the team from the field making 46.1 percent of his shots (106 of 230).

Pajevic's career totals and averages are: points (501, 9.8) field goal shooting (198 of 410, .483), 3-pt shooting (12 of 30, .400) free throw shooting (103 of 134, .769), rebounds (260, 5.3), assists (75, 1.6), blocks (21, 0.4) and steals (20, 0.4).

Weber State University is a NCAA Division I institution and a member of the Big Sky Conference that includes Eastern Washington, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, Northern Arizona, Portland State, and Sacramento State.
