Saddleback Avenges First Round Loss To Dons
SANTA ANA, CA - Fourth-ranked Saddleback College avenged its 75-72 overtime loss in the first round of Orange Empire Conference men's basketball and ended a two-game losing streak to Santa Ana College with a 71-50 win over the Dons on their home court, Friday.

Back in January, Santa Ana (11-12, 7-5) upset Saddleback at home with a 75-73 overtime loss. With the win the Gauchos (23-2, 11-1) captured a share of their fourth conference title in five years and have won seven straight since losing to the Dons. Saddleback currently enjoys a two-game lead over second-place Riverside College in the OEC standings.
The Gauchos pressure defense from the start proved to be too much as the Dons turned the ball over 24 times and were held to just 36 percent shooting (19-of-52). For the third straight game Terrence Hundley led Santa Ana in scoring with a team-high 14 points. Hundley made just five of his 16 field goal attempts, but made all four of his free throws. The freshman guards also had a game-high four rebounds.
Darrell Jenkins and Justin Williams each added eight points apiece. Jenkins was 4-of-6 from the field while Williams connected on 3-of-7 field goals and 2-of-7 free throws.
Dominique Ricks led the Gauchos with a game-high 16 points and 12 rebounds while Carlton Arnwine and Justin Allen added 15 and 13 points, respectively. Ricks was 7-of-12 from the field but managed to make just two of his seven free throw attempts.
