Santa Ana Loses Seventh Consecutive Game

SANTA ANA, CA -
The Santa Ana College (SAC) men's basketball team lost to visiting Saddleback College 71-69 in an Orange Empire Conference game. The loss drops the Dons to 9-17 overall and 1-7 in conference play while the Gauchos improve to 10-17 and 2-7.

With the game tied at 69-69, SAC committed a turnover at halfcourt allowing Saddleback to score the game-winning basket on an uncontested lay-up with 20 seconds remaining. The Dons committed another turnover in the final seconds and were unable to get an attempt to tie the game.

Tyre Thompson (Centennial HS) led SAC with 21 points and 10 rebounds in the loss with Terryn Clark (Mayfair HS) and David Brandon (Long Beach Poly HS) each scoring 10 points.
