SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College football lost its fourth straight game, all to conference opponents, following its 29-13 loss to Long Beach City College.

Long Beach (2-6, 1-3) scored first on a 43-yard field goal by David Covey for the only points of the first quarter. The Dons (3-5, 0-4) came back in the second quarter to take their first lead of the game on a one-yard touchdown run by Eric Pesante.

The Vikings reclaimed the lead later in the quarter on a one-yard touchdown run by Kevin Lubner but missed the extra point giving them a 9-7 lead. Chase Lansford gave the Dons a 10-9 lead with five minutes left in the half with a 26-yard field goal.

Long Beach answered again, late in the third quarter, when Deondre Powell caught a five-yard touchdown pass from Lubner. The Vikings missed the two-point conversion giving them a 15-10 lead.

Lansford hit his second field goal of the game, this time from 27-yards in the early stages of the fourth quarter to cut the lead to 15-13. The Dons were unable to score again as Daveon Barner scored two rushing touchdowns from two yards and three yards out to seal the 29-15 Vikings win.
