Dons Seeded Fifth In SoCal Regional; Host Bakersfield
OXNARD, CA - After claiming a share of its second consecutive Orange Empire Conference (OEC) title last week, Santa Ana College earned the fifth seed in the
California Community College Commission On Athletics Southern California Baseball Regional that begins this Saturday (May 14).
Santa Ana (29-9, 15-6 OEC), the 2005 Orange Empire Conference (OEC) co-champion, will host 12th -seeded Bakersfield College (23-15, 16-8 WSC, South) in the first round. It's the second year in a row that the Renegades will visit Santa Ana College in the first round of the regional baseball tournament. Last year the Dons eliminated Bakersfield from the tournament with a 13-3 win.
