SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) baseball team lost 10-1 to visiting Long Beach City College (LBCC) 10-1 in a non-conference baseball game. The loss drops the Dons to 2-3 on the season while LBCC improves to 4-2.
LBCC scored its first two runs in the top of the first inning despite getting only one hit off Dons' starter Daniel Fenwick (Servite HS). SAC's defense committed two errors in the inning.
The Vikings scored their next three runs over the second and third innings, all off home runs. They hit a solo home run in the second and a two-run home run in the third.
LBCC scored two more runs in the fourth and the final three runs in the sixth to take a 10-0 lead over the Dons. SAC's only run came in the sixth inning when Derek Eligio (Esperanza HS) singled to centerfield scoring Casey Rihn (La Habra HS).
