Dons Lose 8-2 to Visiting San Diego Mesa College
SANTA ANA, CA - The Santa Ana College (SAC) baseball team lost 8-2 to visiting San Diego Mesa College in a non-conference baseball game. The loss drops the Dons to 1-1 while Mesa wins its first game of the season.
SAC gave up three runs on three hits in the top of the first inning to fall behind 3-0. However, the Dons were able to score two runs in the bottom half of the inning on a single by Crispin Tarango (Diamond Bar HS). Travis Leverson (Chaparral HS) and Matt Allen (Orange HS) both scored on the play.
Unfortunately, SAC was unable to get another hit for the rest of the game and eventually lost 8-2. Brandon Pinder (Centennial HS) suffered the loss as he gave up six runs in four and a third innings.
