Santa Ana Scores 15 Runs in Second Straight Game
SANTA ANA, CA -
Santa Ana College's (SAC) offense continues to be hot as the Dons defeated East Los Angeles College (ELAC) 15-1 in their second game of the Hardball Classic.
The Dons scored their first run in the second inning when Mario Ramirez reached on a fielding error and later scored when Casy Rihn reached on a fielder's choice.
Travis Leverson led the third inning off with a triple to right-center field and later scored on a Nick Tanos double. Tanos scored when Crispin Tarango hit a single to right field.
SAC added another five runs in the fourth inning capped off by a solo home run by Ramirez. In the fifth inning, the Dons scored another five runs including two solo home runs by Tyler Hogan and Rihn. The final two runs were scored in the eighth inning with Caleb Boyer and Bryan Patterson picking up the RBIs.
Daniel Fenwick pitched six scoreless innings allowing only four hits while striking out four batters. The victory improves Fenwick to 7-0 on the season.
