SAC Defeats Victor Valley Behind Solid Pitching
SANTA ANA, CA - After being shut out 3-0 at Ventura College on Tuesday Santa Ana College (SAC) returned home, as the away team in the Casey Stengel Tournament, on Friday and defeated Victor Valley College (VVC) 9-1 in a non-conference baseball game.
The Dons scored their first run in the top of the second inning when Casey Rihn (La Habra HS) singled to right field to score Crispin Tarango (Diamond Bar HS) who reached on an infield single.
The Dons added three more runs in the third inning that was capped off by a two-run single by Mario Ramirez (Brea Olinda HS). SAC scored four more runs in the fourth inning, including a two-run home run by Tyler Hogan (Servite HS).
Daniel Fenwick pitched six and a third innings for the Dons to pick up the win. He allowed only one run on five hits while striking out five batters.
