UNIVERSITY TRANSFER

- Many students will start their education at Santa Ana College, but then
"transfer" to a university to complete their Bachelor's Degree (B.S.)
- Students can obtain credit at the university
for many SAC courses.
-
SAC Engineering offers several courses that will transfer to many California
public and private universities.
- When a course transfers (or "articulates") to a
university, it means that the particular university has accepted that course for
credit there.

Guide for Transfer
- The information here is intended only as a guide for the student.
- Take charge! Assume personal responsibility for your educational plan!
Remember that schools will not change their requirements because you were
unaware, misunderstood, or spoke with the wrong person!
- Always contact the university in which you are interested. Verify
their requirements!
- Usually the best website for determining transfer is "assist.org"
- The Engineering Transfer Grid (link here) shows
courses that transfer to several universities. Note that this grid is not
always up to date. Always check the date of any material concerning
articulation (or transfer). Universities are always changing their
requirements.
- SAC Engineering has agreements with other universities not included on the
Engineering Transfer Grid.
Other
- If you have taken college level courses from outside of the United States,
you may benefit from having your transcript evaluated. Some four year schools
may have evaluation services on campus. There are also private companies that
provide evaluation. Here is one example (link).
