Kikawa, Dance
Department Chair, teaches choreography, production, modern
dance technique, world dance and cultures, and Pilates conditioning.
She received her BA and MFA from the University of California,
Los Angeles. Before joining the faculty at Santa Ana College
in 1980, she taught at Western Michigan University and other
colleges throughout Southern California. Her choreography
has been performed by repertory companies, the Inter-Community
College Consortium, Cylinder Dance/Theatre Ensemble, Ballet
Unlimited, PAC Theatre, and at the American College Dance
Festival. In addition her work was selected for performance
in the Women's Festival in Los Angeles, and has been seen
at Cal Poly Pomona, OverReact Gallery, and the Independent
Composers Association/Bachofner Gallery. Her most recent
research focuses on the nature of creativity and the creative
process.
