PAST EXHIBITS

“Headgear” – Orthodontics, motorcycle helmet design, art objects and folk art collide as we survey how and why we adorn our heads.  Including works by Joanne Callis, Kaucilla Brooke, Chris Acuna-Hansen, Susanna Meiers, MichaelMiller, Nancy Webber, Mary Kenny.

“Secret Formula” – A group show in which artists construct artwork through collage, assemblage and multi-object compositions.  Works by Barbara McCarren, Susanna Meiers, Mark Sparks, Robert Walker, Ian White.

“New Directions” – A group show of artists who live and work in Orange County.  The artists map out and explore a wide range of artistic production and explore issues ranging from the highly formal to the intensely personal with many points of interest in between.  Work by Barbara Berk, Tony DeLap, Suvan Geer, Carol Saindon, Richard Turner.

“Kitschen” – Selections from E. Jean Hill and Evelyn Logan Jones’ wonderful and whimsical salt and pepper shaker collection.  Also, many vintage kitchen objects loaned by private collectors and antique businesses.

“Youth Culture” – An overview of art being produced by up and coming young artists.  Artwork of Steve Gaskey, Robert Hua, Jim Pezzetti, Jeannie Simms, Mark Sonday.

“Diego Rivera” – A multi-media exploration of the Pan American Unity Mural.  A five panel reproduction of the fresco at City College of San Francisco completed by Diego Rivera in 1940.

“Together and Alone” – A curatorial endeavor that highlights two pominent Los Angeles artists shown concurrently.  Presents numerous major work by Cynthia K. Evans and Brad Spence.
